基本情况
林英教授。1985-1992年在吉林大学历史系，东北师范大学历史系学习，获历史学学士、硕士学位，2004年在中山大学历史系中外关系史专业学习，获历史学博士学位，博士论文题目《拂菻宝主——唐代中国与拜占庭帝国》。2006到2007年在雅典大学历史与考古系从事博士后研究。1992年后任教于中山大学历史系世界古代史教研室，2010年晋升教授。
主要研究领域
古代中国与希腊罗马世界的经济文化交流史，前伊斯兰时期（魏晋南北朝至唐中期）欧亚大陆上东西方的经济和文化交流；
希腊史。
